TS3-1: Integrating DRR into the global financial system

The integration of DRR into the global financial system has gained momentum worldwide in recognition of the critical role of the financial sector in reducing disaster risk through its investments, lending and insurance activities. As needs continue to evolve and grow, the gap between what is needed and what is available has widened. This session will deepen the discussion on the reforms and actions needed to integrate DRR into global financial system by different stakeholders, including Governments, private investors, financial regulators, insurance companies and international financial institutions.
