TS3-3: Accelerating Private Sector Engagement in Disaster Risk Reduction
This session will focus on strengthening private sector resilience to advance DRR, showcasing how strategic financing and investment can drive these efforts. It will explore barriers and enablers for private sector action in DRR, addressing key issues such as holistic risk assessments, funding mechanisms, incentives, regulatory frameworks and cross-sector collaboration. By emphasizing the benefits of resilience, such as avoided losses, economic growth and sustainability, participants will gain actionable insights on integrating DRR into business strategies, ultimately contributing to global sustainability goals.
