The GP2025 Dynamic Agenda is now available
We are pleased to announce that the Dynamic Agenda for the Official Days of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction 2025 (GP2025) is now available on the GP2025 website.
Whether attending online or in person, this evolving agenda provides key information for sessions and events that will take place from 4-6 June 2025 in Geneva Switzerland.
With this interactive guide you can search for sessions or topics that align with your interests, select those most relevant to your work or practice, or plan ahead to maximize your experience at GP2025.
In the agenda you will find information on the following sessions:
High-Level Dialogues
These four sessions will bring together government representatives, international organizations, and civil society to exchange insights, share best practices, and discuss strategies to accelerate Sendai Framework implementation.
Thematic Sessions
Fifteen thematic sessions will convene senior officials and experts from governments, the UN system, civil society, and the private sector for in-depth discussions on key DRR issues. These sessions will focus on the identification of success factors, propose concrete actions for acceleration, and generate policy recommendations to drive implementation.
Multistakeholder Plenaries
Four plenaries, co-chaired by Switzerland and UNDRR, will provide a platform for governments, the UN, and stakeholders to report on progress, challenges, and recommendations from the Sendai Framework's Mid-Term Review. These sessions will replace the traditional "Official Statements" segment.
The Dynamic Agenda will be continuously updated with session information on the Preparatory Days and the Informal Programme. Participants are encouraged to check regularly for the latest updates.
Special Sessions and Special Events
Two special sessions will focus on critical areas facing our world and the DRR field today. The first special session will explore strategies to integrate climate action and disaster risk reduction to effectively manage loss and damage. The second special session will examine gender-responsive disaster risk reduction through targeted policies and actions.
Three Special Events will offer unique moments during GP2025 to engage in topical and timely discussions on infrastructure resilience in Africa, Small Island Developing States and Extreme Heat.
Side Events
As a part of the informal programme, seventeen side events will showcase diverse perspectives, innovative approaches, and practical solutions from governments, stakeholders, and other organizations. These sessions create space for focused in-depth discussions on emerging issues and contribute valuable insights to the broader GP2025 agenda.
