Enhancing Supply Chain Resilience: A Comprehensive Approach to DRR
Supply chains are the backbone of the business ecosystem. The approach to the private sector through ARISE networks has significantly increased their understanding of the importance of resilience-building work through supply chains.
This interactive learning lab aims to:
- Identify resilience practices in supply chains that could be applied, including regulatory and normative measures.
- Evaluate the relevance of these practices in different contexts.
- Share experiences on mechanisms for applying these practices to strengthen supply chains.
The learning lab will be an interactive session using Miro in the mapping step and for collecting the case studies Fulcrum. The activity will be led by Jose DiBella, a researcher at the Climate Institute at the University of Waterloo, and Yezid Niño, Private Sector Advisor at UNDRR ROAC. This interactive learning lab will contribute to the study that UNDRR ROAC is advancing in partnership with the Climate Institute at the University of Waterloo in Canada, the Trade Facilitation Office of Canada, and the ARISE networks of Canada, Mexico, Honduras, and Colombia.
Main target audience:
- Public sector entities such as Ministries of Infrastructures, Industrial Development,
- Private sector, particularly large companies aiming to protect their supply chains, and the insurance sector.
