HLD1: Harnessing risk understanding for a safer future: Are we keeping up?
This high-level dialogue offers an opportunity to explore how scaling the generation and application of standardized interoperable quality risk information can help reduce escalating losses and support the achievement of global agreements, including the Sendai Framework and SDGs. The session will bring together key public and private stakeholders to share successful practices and real-world experiences related to risk knowledge ecosystems that actually work for risk-informed decision-making for a more resilient future for all. The session will also highlight how innovation, learning and participatory feedback mechanisms can improve risk understanding for both present and future generations.
