WMO Coordination Mechanism (WCM): Tailored solutions for humanitarian actions
The WMO Coordination Mechanism (WCM) is a key element of the Early Warnings for All Initiative (EW4All), supporting crisis-prone and conflict-affected regions with timely expert advice and situational awareness.
WCM provides co-designed and tailored solutions for United Nations (UN) and Humanitarian Agencies (HA), curating authoritative weather, climate and water information from the WMO Members and Centres, enhancing early action, preparedness efforts and providing
crisis support.
This event will show how the WCM brings the collective expertise of WMO Community to better respond to the UN and HA needs, strengthening their ability to make proactive and well-informed decisions. Through keynote speeches and posters, participants will see
how the WCM is fulfilling the efforts to achieve a more effective early action and will be able to interact with WMO Members / Centres and HA already collaborating with WCM.
