Call for applications for GP2025 Side Events

The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) is pleased to announce that the application for Side Events of the eighth session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GP2025) is now open!

The GP2025 Side Events will provide an opportunity to discuss ideas in disaster risk reduction within the global disaster risk reduction community. Side Events expand the range of topics and projects discussed at the GP2025 beyond those presented in the main sessions. The Side Events take place in connection with the GP2025 Official Days, on 4-6 June 2025. A total of 15 side events are available.

The application process for the Side Events is open from 30 September 2024 until 18 October 2024 (11:59pm CET). Applications are submitted through an online form throughout the application period. Interested organizations from Member States, UN System and international and regional organizations and stakeholder groups are invited to express their interest in organizing side events during the GP2025.

About GP2025

The main theme of GP2025 is "Every Day Counts, Act for Resilience Today". The GP2025 is organized and convened by UNDRR and will take place from 2 - 6 June 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland. The event will be co-chaired by the Government of Switzerland and UNDRR. The GP2025 is an inclusive event, with possibilities for broad and diverse participation.
