Mission

The Research Center in Emergency and Disaster Health (RCEDH) aims to produce evidence and train efficient experts in emergencies and disaster health.

The Center was founded in 2008 by Professor Hamidreza Khankeh at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences (USWR). The first, unique and multidisciplinary center in Iran and also Middle East has been active in conducting studies in the field of emergencies and disaster (road traffic injuries, natural and man-made disasters, civil defense).

The organization has no registered commitments.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.'|t }}
