The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) is glad to announce that the Programme for the seventh session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GP2022) is now available in the six official languages of the United Nations.

UNDRR and the Government of Indonesia are pleased to announce that Visa on Arrival (VoA) is now available to GP2022 participants arriving in Bali or Jakarta, Indonesia. The VoA scheme applies to GP2022 participants from more than 180 countries.

A Multi-stakeholder forum recognized by the UN General Assembly

The UN General Assembly recognizes the Global Platform as the global multi-stakeholder forum to review progress on the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. At the Platform, governments, the UN system and all stakeholders get together to share knowledge and discuss the latest developments and trends in reducing disaster risk, identify gaps and make recommendations to further accelerate the implementation of the Sendai Framework. The eighth session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction will be organized and convened by the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) and hosted by the Government of Switzerland.
