About the WRRC
Aligned with the overall theme of GP2025 “Everyday Counts, Act for Resilience Today”, the WRRC emphasizes the urgent need for resilient recovery readiness.* This proactive approach emphasizes preparing for and managing recovery efforts across diverse contexts, ensuring that communities, institutions, and systems are ready to respond effectively.
*Note: Resilient recovery readiness is a proactive approach that emphasizes preparing communities, systems, and institutions well in advance of disasters, thereby enabling them to “build back better” in the aftermath of such events.
