Organizing Teams
To ensure an inclusive and multi-stakeholder approach to the Global Platform, UNDRR launched a call for session Organizing Teams to help shape substantive aspects of the 2022 Global Platform in an inclusive and open manner. Organizing Teams are constituted for each of the four High-Level Dialogues and the 16 Thematic Sessions.
In constituting the Organizing Teams, key principles of equitable representation, geographical distribution, inclusiveness, and gender balance were applied.
In total, 173 different entities are represented on the 20 Organizing Teams, representing Member States, UN System, International and Regional Organizations, Major Groups and other Stakeholders. The Organizing Teams are gender-balanced, with all stakeholder groups represented. Organizations with dedicated gender expertise are included in 70% of Organizing Teams.
